Les corridors écologiques sont des liaisons fonctionnelles permettant des connexions (donc la possibilité d'échanges) entre des réservoirs de biodiversité. Ce sont des voies potentielles de déplacement pour les espèces. Les corridors écologiques relient ainsi entre eux des réservoirs de biodiversité en traversant préférentiellement les zones de forte perméabilité. Les corridors écologiques, ne sont pas nécessairement constitués d’habitats « remarquables » et sont généralement des espaces de nature ordinaire.
